The ICF is the only global coaching organisation which requires all of its members to either hold a coaching credential or have committed to significant coach training. Approx 72% hold a coaching credential from the ICF.

ICF Member Eligibility Requirements
To be a member of the International Coach Federation you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
Hold a current ICF Credential (ACC, PCC, or MCC);
• Have completed at least 60 hours of coach-specific training that meets ICF standards or
• Be enrolled in 60 hours of coach-specific training in a program that has either the ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) or Approved Coach-Specific Training Hours (ACSTH) distinction. (For new members only.)

New ICF Memberships are prorated monthly. New members who join ICF after April 30 will pay prorated membership dues based on the number of months remaining in the ICF membership year. New members who join ICF in January, February or March will pay prorated membership dues based on the number of months remaining in the current ICF membership year plus all 12 months of the next ICF membership year.
